Hi. Here is my severely delayed hiatus post.
My mind is cluttered to the max right now. I'm beyond fatigued and out of shape. My body couldn't keep up, so now I'm sick. My game is still incredibly slow, to make matters worse. My daily household dilemmas and slight addiction to the internet are keeping me from my schoolwork. I just need to organize my life and right now, playing a laggy Sims game is not priority. I've missed you guys a lot, and I will continue to miss you, but I need to take some (more) time off until Spring Break, at the very soonest. At the latest, I'll be back during summer break.
Thank you all for being so understanding, hopefully I can use this free time to focus on school. I love you all. :)
EDIT: I've given up on CAW, and now I'm just refurbishing an EA-world for the Six Degrees story. I'm afraid I'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall everything to make it faster, but hopefully I'll have a story for you all in the next month or three.
Goodluck with the reinstall. :) I really hate doing those. But it normally does help to fix whatever it is that your having problems with.
ReplyDeleteAnd your not alone in having an addiction to the net. lol I think most bloggers are! ;)
Hi Mmmcheezy! We'll miss you and your stories, but I agree you have to prioritize more on yourself. Especially when you are feeling out of shape like now. Hope everything will go well and you will come back to us sooner :)
ReplyDelete!! Love you too, girly. I totally understand what you mean, and I hope that cutting down on things helps you to get back on track with school. That's definitely the most important thing right now above all else so hang in there. Just remember that we all care about you and miss you, so we'll be waiting for you when your life gets a bit less hectic. Summer, perhaps? ;)
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, I'm sorry to hear that CAW continues to be a giant steaming pile of horse****, and that your game is being laggy. I'm kinda feeling your woes on that these days.
In any case, take CARE of yourself, first and foremost. I was in the exact same position when I was in college (fatigued, sick, distracted, etc) so I know exactly what you mean--and know exactly how much you need a break.
Anyways... I'm done rambling. Keep in touch if you can, but at the very least, remember we're rooting for you! Woo woo!
Thanks so much guys <3 The Sims community has its fair share of drama and faults, but this blogger community is one of the best.
ReplyDelete@ Jen - I don't think I'll reinstall, because I just realized how incredibly lazy I am. Too much hassle, I'll just work around the problems I have now. :P
@M.J. - Thank you! :) I miss you guys as well, but hopefully restricting myself from blogging will make me more eager to focus on school.
@Kaleeko - Yeah, exactly. It's an awful feeling, and it was a bit of a wake-up call. I always complain about how boring everything is, and then I get on the computer and the rest of the world disappears. Next thing I know, I'm behind on a subject, sometimes multiple subjects, and I have all these things I want to take on as a hobby and/or a source of money and I just need to take a step back from it all, breathe, and re-organize things. It might take awhile, but I'm so happy that you guys understand.
I'll be around, especially during the summer. :)
Hey Cheezy,
ReplyDeleteDrat, I thought I'd replied to this but it must have failed and I forgot to come back.
Study should definitely take priority over games/blogging/us. Keep working on what needs to get done first. We will be around when you are ready to come back.
Sorry to hear about the laggy game and the CAW problems. Sometimes this game is too much of a pain! But addicting.
