Re: Accidents

check out story here

The end?! Dun Dun duuuunnnnn

This was a pretty hard one to write, lol. Very intense. First of all, I'm awful with fight scenes. Second, I'm awful at killing sims. Third, Saskan Harbour really hates my computer. Which is the real reason they're moving. The post "Accidents" is a finale, an end to the Saskan Harbour saga. Instead, they will be moving to a new world, with new characters, and hopefully this world will be kinder to me, lol. It's also the mark of a hiatus. I want to refresh my writing batteries by doing something different. The Roomies would be a part of that, as well as building challenges, explorations of worlds, etc.

Of course, I will miss my Dillards. Maybe I'll have them do a "visiting the relatives" segment, where they're planted in another world, but only to visit Brandon's (or Sandy's) parents until they find a new place. That could work.

Globe Trottin' With The Roomies

What pain meds do to me...

1. I just dropped a small bottle of hand sanitizer off of my desk, and panicked because I thought it was my tall bottle of water also hanging off the edge of my desk.
2. I took Mandie on multiple vacations with some of her roomies, and took very few pics. So here's a few that I did remember to take.

Mandie and Jason in France (Is it still a relationship if it started with nectar?)

Mandie, the Pick-Wielding Wonder! (Egypt)
"Whoa, hey mister! No need to get violent here!" (lol he was actually holding a mirror that disappeared, and Mandie was doing the "tired" interaction. Still a cool stunt though)
And some things I didn't get pics of:

1. Helena and Mandie are no longer virgins. Yep, they woohoo-ed before the boys did. Is it sad that I feel proud?
2. Mandie found a Mummy. I made her run like hell, and when I saw that the mummy was still walking, I deleted him out of plain fear.
3. Helena tramped around in Egypt and slept with two merchants, and Mandie "cheated" on Jason in France with Gerard Morel (yes, the guy finally taught her how to french kiss!). Not so proud of that. Especially since he was married.
4. Helena's unofficial soulmate lives in Egypt. His name is Yossarian, and he's a Relics merchant. Actually, his name wasn't Yossarian, but it was so close to Yossarian that I just had to change it. I am indeed proud of that one.

Since the girls are still in Egypt, I'll show you Yossarian:

*ahem* If Helena would stop sucking his face off.
He's not bad-looking. At all. Really. EA, thank you.
Since he's sketchy, flirty, attractive, and possibly perverted, I figured that he'd be perfect for Helena!

btw, none of the guys in France hit on Mandie during her 5 day visit. Yossarian hit on her right after she introduced herself. And she didn't refuse him. (keep in mind, this is after she sparked a relationship with Jason and woohoo'ed with Gerard!)

All of the slutty men have migrated to Al Simhara, I'm just saying.

I'm thinking about having Mandie quit her job (Spa Specialist) to Adventure full-time. The job isn't cutting into her exploration time, but it's kind of pointless when she makes more money overseas...or is that overworlds...

Anyway, here are various pictures of their travels (because they're hardly at home)
The Al Simhara Tomb Raiders, go team go!

"Oh no, she's dead!" Not really dear, she's just extra-crispy.
Jason is definitely not the adventurous sort.
"You evil piece of wood, take this!"
"HEE-YAH!"

And that's all for today folks! And yes, I am now addicted to solving tombs. I'm thinking about making an adventure world...

It took me all day to type this. I must be a little rusty.

My lust for AMB and LN is growing stronger...

...especially since I found AMB on NewEgg for $28...and I need Ambitions and Late Night for my world...

So to distract myself (and find something to do before going to see if I can get different antibiotics from my doc), I've decided to do a quick update! First off, thank you so much PiB for the present!! My simmie brides thank you. :) Second, the Dillards are now up for grabs! I would have tried to upload it to the official site, but the launcher was giving me problems.

And now I must go, after a painfully short post. I'll probably come back with something else when I'm back from the doc's office.

The Roomies - Mandie Does France!

I need to get to France so that I can see how EA made their nectary and somehow duplicate it for my WIP world. The nectary I made isn't functional, so I need to figure out what I did wrong.

First off, let's introduce you to my family, the Roomies household!

The roomies are a household full of sims I had in TS2 and recreated in TS3, just for nostalgia. First up, we have...

 Full name: Mandie Jenner
Traits: Adventurous, Photographer's Eye, Neurotic, Vegetarian, Artistic
In The Sims 2: Mandie Jenner was a photographer that owned her own studio in Crescent County. She took pictures of famous figures such as Alakai and Nancy Miguel, and she was notorious for her ill-fated relationships.
In Saskan Harbour: Mandie Jenner works at Doo Peas Corp. as a professional blogger, and is Sandy's boss.

Full Name: Helena Jitmakusol
Traits: Hot-headed, Flirty, Genius, Friendly, Ambitious
In The Sims 2: Helena Jitmakusol was the daughter of Phil Jitmakusol (scientist), and Je'Tamie Jitmakusol (doctor). She and her brother Eric grew up to be geniuses; Helena decided to follow her mother's footsteps, and Eric decided to help his girlfriend with her up-and-coming hair salon.
In Saskan Harbour: She worked as a doctor, and helped bring all of Saskan Harbour's babies into the sim world.

Full Name: Matthew Dillard (no relation to the Dillard family)
Traits: Angler, Family-Oriented, Green Thumb, Loves The Outdoors, Lucky
In The Sims 2: Owned a farm with his wife Angela, as well as a grocery store that they sold their produce in.
In Saskan Harbour: He owned a plot of land in the mountains with his wife.

Full Name: Jason Glendale
Traits: Lucky, Good Kisser, Neat, Natural Cook, Green Thumb
In The Sims 2: Husband to Myettah Glendale, and father to 12 kids.

Ok, let's get started!

For the nature freaks, I bought a nice little cabin in SV that needs refurbishing, if you ask me. But that's not what I made them for. Let there be France!

And so, I sent Helena off to go get a job at Bleeding Heart, and I sent the boys over to the unoccupied house over there to steal some fish.

Champ Le Sims is gorgeous, really. I'd love to actually create a town like this. Maybe I should take notes...

I wish I knew what terrain paint they used so I can recreate those textures. So beautiful!!
We wasted no time. Mandie chatted up the hot (but unavailable) French guy while I tried to figure out the "secret" to making a functional nectary. Unsuccessfully.  Sigh, oh well.

I wasn't going to let that ruin our adventure, so I sent her to the base camp to get a new adventure. Apparently, Gerard Morel lost a "mysterious item" in the depths of the Celtic ruins. Off we go!
------A Day Later------
"I...er...I found your baseball, sir."

"Ah, Madame! You have returned my precious baseball. I thank you from the depths of my heart. It is lucky you see, I would never dare to go into a place like those ruins without it at my side. That is why I had to pay you to do it for me. Speaking of payment, here are some ancient coins. You will find these scattered around many tombs that you explore. Some merchants, for instance, Alber Fouchier, only accept these for their wares. The most interesting of items can be purchased with them. Now, enjoy the rest of your time in Champs Le Sims!"
"....right. Hey, could you teach me how to french kiss?"

After finding out that hot French guy #2 is also married, Mandie returned back to the base camp for another adventure.

"Ooh ooh Creator, let's do this one!"

Sure, what does it say?

"Help! As the curator of the museum, I'm responsible for the safe-keeping of its Relics, art, and treasures. Unfortunately, the security guards are abandoning their posts. I am in need of a brave soul to assist me at the museum. Interested parties are to speak to me, Laurent Durand, at their earliest convenience."

...fine, just don't get yourself killed.

"Laurent!"

"Mandie! Oh thank goodness there is somebody else in Champs Les Sims who cares remotely for the museum's well-being! For some inexplicable reason the security guards keep quitting. They just up and leave and they will not tell me why! Something is going on here and I intend to get to the bottom of it. In the meantime, I'd like you to patrol the museum. Investigate the Egyptian gallery and see if you can find anything."

"Sure!"

"I don't think I want to do this anymore."
Too bad, you chose it.
"But-"
No.

No pictures, but the adventure was a fail. God EA, can't you give me a hint?

And back home we go!

I know this was completely random, but I guess a random post is the perfect way to break in a random blog. Goodnight all!
